London is hoping to acquire attack leader Lukas Podolski for 13 million euros, BBC reports.
According to reports, a deal is almost reached, and the 26-year-old German national team player will sign a four-year contract. His weekly salary will be 120 thousand euros.
"Lukas sent me many messages, and I told him how wonderful the Arsenal club is," said another German player, Per Mertesacker, who plays in London.
Besides London, Podolski, who scored 16 goals in 20 matches this season, is also being pursued by Anzhi Makhachkala and Lokomotiv Moscow.
