On Wednesday, two more European teams secured their spots in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. In the decisive playoff matches, Poland (VIDEO) and Portugal (VIDEO) emerged victorious. Both teams defeated Sweden and North Macedonia by identical scores of 2-0 at their home stadiums. Poland had to work hard to score their first goal - striker R. Lewandowski converted a penalty in the 50th minute. The Swedes then created several dangerous chances but their hopes were dashed by P. Zielinski's goal in the 72nd minute (2-0). On the other hand, Portugal scored their first goal quickly - B. Fernandes capitalized on a pass from C. Ronaldo in the 32nd minute. Fernandes sealed the victory with a second goal in the 65th minute (2-0).
