One of the best European forwards of last season, Falcao, has agreed to extend his contract with the club until the summer of 2015.
It was rumored that the Colombian was interested in London, but the Portuguese champions managed to keep one of their leaders. Additionally, the buyout clause in the contract has been increased from 30 to 45 million euros.
Last season, Falcao scored a total of 38 goals, with 17 of them coming in the Europa League tournament. He became the all-time top scorer in European cup competitions in a single season, surpassing the legendary Jurgen Klinsmann.
In total, in 85 matches with Porto, Falcao scored an impressive 73 times.
