Europe Championship has started the quarterfinal stage. In the first match, the teams of Portugal and Poland tested their strength. C.Ronaldo finally managed to hit the target, after a few moments the Portuguese leader fell in the penalty area, but the referee decided not to award a penalty kick. In the 33rd minute, R.Sanches played a great combination with Nani and equalized the score with a long-range shot - 1:1. In the second half, the teams played more cautiously - in the 80th minute, Jedrzejczyk almost scored an own goal. Five minutes later, C.Ronaldo could have put his team ahead, but facing Fabianski alone, he couldn't hit the moving ball. The teams had to play extra time. Towards the end of extra time, the Poles created a couple of dangerous attacks, but Pepe calmed things down in front of his goal. In the penalty shootout, the Portuguese were accurate with the shots of R.Ronaldo, R.Sanches, J.Moutinho, Nani, and R.Quaresma, while the Poles only scored with R.Lewandowski, A.Milik, K.Glik. J.Blaszczykowski missed his shot, and Rui Patricio stopped it.
