Portugal pours out bitterness: FIFA wants to see Argentinians as champions? © SIPA

The Portuguese team withdrew from the World Cup after a fierce battle.

In the quarterfinals, Fernando Santos' players failed to overcome the Moroccan team (0:1).

Nevertheless, the Portuguese were not ready to accept the unexpected loss quietly.

According to them, FIFA had a hand in Morocco's success.

"Everyone knows how it's done. Even before the match, we knew what would happen and which referee would officiate our game.

I don't know if the trophy will go to Argentina and I don't care. It's very strange when a referee from a country still in the tournament officiates," said Bruno Fernandes.

Defender Pepe seconded him: "It was really unacceptable to see an Argentine on our field. I can't say the referee was biased against us, but did you see what happened in the second half? We were completely prevented from playing."
