Portuguese newspaper "A Bola" reports that in order to acquire Lisbon's "Benfica" player Renato Sanches, "Manchester United" will have to significantly increase their offer - as Real Madrid has also shown interest.
Last week it was announced that the "Red Devils" agreed to pay the player's release clause of 46 million pounds, and his agent Jorge Mendes also confirmed the interest from the English club.
However, the "royal" club, looking to bring in more young talent, will still try to compete for the eighteen-year-old's signature.
Additionally, the situation could be affected by Real Madrid's "Atletico", whose long-term cooperation with "Benfica" could be a decisive factor in Sanches's future, especially if coach Diego Simeone decides to strengthen the midfield position.
This season, the Portuguese player played 31 matches in all competitions and scored six goals.
Interestingly, Transfermarkt.com values the player at 800 thousand euros.
