Premier League: "Chelsea" - "Man Utd" (review)

On Sunday, four more matches of the 11th round will take place in the English Premier League. The most attention should be paid to the duel at Stamford Bridge stadium, where London's Chelsea will host Manchester United.

Both clubs are currently behind the absolute leader of the Premier League, Manchester City, but the "Red Devils" are in a better position. However, it will not be easy for Jose Mourinho's students - Manchester United has only achieved one victory in 15 recent matches against Chelsea.

Sporting form

Both teams played in the middle of the week in the UEFA Champions League group stage, and the results were not very successful for some teams. Manchester United achieved a solid victory against Benfica at home, while Chelsea suffered a desperate defeat in Rome with a 0-3 score.

However, Chelsea has been playing successfully in the Premier League - Antonio Conte's team had experienced two consecutive losses, but they returned to the path of victories and are now unbeaten in two consecutive matches.

In the last round, Chelsea narrowly beat Bournemouth, and before that, they defeated Watford in a high-scoring match (4-2). The other two matches for the English champions were less successful - they lost to Crystal Palace and Manchester City.

In the last round, Manchester United also celebrated a victory, but before that, they had fallen into a slight slump - they lost to Huddersfield and played a draw against Liverpool. In addition to those two matches, the Manchester team has achieved three victories - defeating Tottenham, Crystal Palace, and Southampton.

The "Red Devils" are closest to the leading City footballers - they hold the second place with a 5-point gap from the leaders. Chelsea, who are in fourth place, already lag behind the city dwellers by a nine-point difference.

Manchester United are superior to their future opponents in terms of goals scored - J. Mourinho's team has already scored 23 goals, while Chelsea has scored 18. The Manchester team has had difficulty in defense this season - conceding just four goals in ten matches, while the "Blues" have already conceded ten goals.

Team news

Antonio Conte has finally received good news - N'Golo Kante has recovered from injury and is ready to step onto th arena. However, Chelsea will still have to continue without Victor Moses, but all other players are healthy and ready to fight.

Manchester United have more absences in their squad - due to injuries, Michael Carrick, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Marcus Rojo, Marouane Fellaini, and Jesse Lingard, who picked up an injury against Benfica, are still unable to play.

Predicted starting lineups:

Chelsea: Thibaut Courtois; Antonio Rudiger, David Luiz, Gary Cahill; Cezar Azpilicueta, N'Golo Kante, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Marcos Alonso; Eden Hazard, Alvaro Morata, Pedro.
