Yesterday, 8 matches of the 9th round of the Premier League were played. Let's briefly review each of them.

London's "Chelsea" experienced their first defeat in the championship, losing away to "Manchester City" club. The only goal from a penalty kick from eleven meters was scored by Frenchman Nicolas Anelka in the 11th minute. This victory helped the Manchester team rise to the ninth place in the tournament table.

The league leader, "Arsenal" club, continues to move forward without defeats, this time defeating "Aston Villa" club at home with a score of 3-1. Meanwhile, one of the possible title contenders from the previous season, "Manchester United" club, lost two more points away playing against "Birmingham City" team. It was the second consecutive draw for the "Red Devils" in the league.

"Middlesbrough" crushed "Blackburn" club away with a score of 4 - 0. The away team's forward J.F.Hasselbaink scored three goals, and Blackburn city team player K.Tungaj received a red card.

Two neighboring teams at the top of the table, "Everton" and "Bolton", both secured a victory with a score of 1 - 0. The former forced "Southampton" to surrender, while the latter defeated "Chrystal Palace" club.

The match between "Fulham" and "Liverpool" stood out with a goal abundance. "Fulham" took the lead after two goals by B.A.Mortes 2 - 0. However, "Liverpool" showed strong character and managed to secure a victory with a score of 4 - 2.
