"Premier" league clubs, due to overspending, are slowly heading towards bankruptcy. This unpleasant conclusion was made by specialists who analyzed the finances of the teams, wrote lrytas.lt. The study was conducted based on data from 2008 to 2016. After examining all the data, specialists concluded that "Premier" league clubs lost a staggering two billion pounds sterling over eight years. "Financially, the clubs are getting weaker. They spend much more money than they can earn. The management of the Premier league should be very concerned. Our analysis shows that clubs are losing a lot of money every day. Despite receiving significant amounts from broadcasting rights, they spend much more on players. It's time to face reality before hitting a hard wall," says one of the authors of the study. Currently, it doesn't seem like the teams are struggling financially, but according to experts, an open investigation will help to think and avoid bankruptcy cases. They hope that club managers will take note and take real action."
