„Premier“ league teams can be proud of achieving a new record even before the summer transfer window closes. According to „Transfermarkt“, in the past three months alone, English clubs have already spent 1.72 billion euros on new players. This surpasses the previous record set by „Premier“ league teams five years ago (1.61 billion euros). Interestingly, out of the all-time top ten, only two spots belong to representatives from other leagues - „La Liga“ (7th place, 2019, 1.36 billion) and „Serie A“ (9th place, 2019, 1.23 billion).
