Premier League coaches speak out about VAR problems © PA

After the scandalous matches of last week, the VAR topic between "Tottenham" and "Liverpool" still remains very sensitive.

Before the new "Premier" league round, the most famous coaches were asked about new technologies.

"Manchester City" coach Pep Guardiola looks at the situation calmly: "It was a mistake, we need to accept this truth. People make mistakes, and VAR is there to reduce the number of these mistakes. Let's hope the situation improves."

"Tottenham" coach Ange Postecoglou proposed two ways to solve the problems. One of them is for the referee sitting behind the VAR monitor not to follow the usual terms, but simply, for example, to say: "Liverpool" scored. In this case, the misunderstanding of last week would be avoided.

Another suggestion from the Australian is to completely eliminate VAR: "In the current situation, I would completely get rid of VAR. I don't think the new technologies are ready for our game.

I have nothing against the goal-line technology, that is undeniable. We believe that VAR will eliminate mistakes, but the further it goes, the worse it may be," - said the "Tottenham" manager.

"Chelsea" head coach Mauricio Pochettino compared VAR to a car: "I trust the car, but the driver... that is the big problem."

Last week, "Liverpool" was unhappy with three episodes: Diogo Jota's red card, disallowed goal by Diaz, and Curtis Jones's dismissal. The first two episodes were publicly recognized as mistakes, while Jones's red card appeal was rejected.
