"Premier League Monday echoes: happy P.Crouch, goal of the year and furious "Man Utd" fans (VIDEO)"

On Monday, as Lithuanians stumbled half asleep, the English "Premier League" football fans were treated to a bunch of funny moments. Xherdan Shaqiri unwillingly scored the most beautiful goal of the year, following their victory against Liverpool's "Everton," Peter Crouch's message on Twitter after "Stoke City's" victory had many holding their stomachs due to laughter. Meanwhile, London's "Arsenal" defender took the late evening and made the worst shot in football history. All of this happened in the Monday "Premier League" matches.

Louis van Gaal's desperate fans

If the British press is to be believed, only a victory against London's "Chelsea" team could save Louis van Gaal's seat at the "Manchester United" club.

To dispel these rumors, a cunning businessman decided to build a souvenir kiosk near the "Old Trafford" stadium. The merchandise he sold clearly announced that the Dutchman's departure from the "Red Devils" team was not imminent, and instead, the jobless Jose Mourinho would take over.

The British press wrote a few weeks ago that Louis van Gaal needed two victories to save his job. Unfortunately, after these reports, the 54-year-old manager's team lost 0-2 to the charming "Stoke City" team, and after yesterday's match with the "Chelsea" footballers, the scoreboard showed round zeros for both teams. Thus, Louis van Gaal's climb from the bottom was not dry, but soaking wet.

However, after the match with the "Blue Lions," the Dutchman clearly stated in a press conference that the club's management fully trusts him and he has no intention of leaving because yesterday the "club played significantly better than their opponents."

In the match at the "Old Trafford" stadium against London's "Chelsea," there were not only the aforementioned souvenir sellers. A few dissatisfied "Man Utd" fans also brought meaningful banners.

Xherdan Shaqiri, "Stoke City," and the jolly Peter Crouch

The "Stoke City" club delighted its fans with exciting victories and miraculous shots for Christmas and New Year.

On the second day after Christmas, Mark Hughes' players showed their horns to the same "Red Devils," and in the most dramatic Monday match, they defeated the Liverpool "Everton" club 4-3.

However, the great victory against the "Premier League" giants was not the only surprise that pleased the fans. The Swiss footballer Xherdan Shaqiri also presented a personal gift to the fans on Monday, scoring a goal that astonished all "Premier League" viewers.

Although at first glance the goal may not seem like a contender for the most beautiful of the year, it is magical because X. Shaqiri did not intend to score it at all. After the magical touch of the Swiss player, reports emerged one after another in the press that the footballer wanted to make a pass to a teammate but accidentally hit the ball into the net.

The "Stoke City" victory was warmly welcomed by the team's forward Peter Crouch, who shared a message on Twitter, amusing not only the fans but also the followers.

"Great performance, lads. It's no wonder I don't get an opportunity to play," wrote P. Crouch on his account, having risen from the substitutes' bench only three times this season.

Goals in the final minutes

The "Watford" club, led by Giedrius Arlauskis, who is already scoring more points than in the entire past season, faced off against London's "Tottenham Hotspur" at the end of the match after an equalizer they lifted their heads high and wide opened their arms to lead their fans.

Unfortunately, the early trust placed in Quique Flores' players proved to be premature, as a 23-year-old Heung-Min Son forced them to taste the cold duo. The footballer from South Korea directed the ball between the "Watford" goalkeeper's legs into the goal in the 89th minute and led the "Tottenham" team to a 2-1 victory.

There was certainly no shortage of goals in the final minutes on Monday. A very similar, yet even more tense plot, unfolded in the aforementioned matches between "Everton" and "Stoke City."

In the 90th minute with the result at 3-3, "Stoke" player Marko Arnautovič made his way into the penalty area, where he was brought down by "Everton" defender John Stones. Although the young talent strongly denied his fault, the referee Mark Clattenburg was unmoved and without any discussion, awarded a penalty, which M. Arnautovič successfully converted.

The best opportunity in history - with the winds

The Antihero of the worst shot in history was Per Mertesacker. Despite his represented London's "Arsenal" club playing flawlessly and defeating the "Bournemouth" footballers 2-0, everyone talked only about the dreadfully inaccurate head shot from the defender from less than half a meter away.

Despite the jokes that followed P. Mertesacker's shot, it must be acknowledged that reacting properly in that situation was very challenging.
