Yesterday in the English Premier League, two matches were played. "Newcastle" club, recovering, won their fourth victory in 10 days by beating "Bolton" 2-1 at home. In another match, "Middlesbrough" and "Charlton" drew 2-2.
The first goal at St. James' Park came in the 35th minute, when after a great team attack, L. Bowyer sent the ball into the net. The other match, watched by over 29 thousand spectators, was equally intense. In the 14th minute, the visitors took the lead when after a pass from S. Bartlett, M. Holland sent the ball into the goal from the penalty area. The hosts managed to equalize only in the 74th minute, when C. Riggott scored a goal from a few meters after the sideline referee did not spot an offside in a disputed episode. However, six minutes later the visitors were ahead again when H. Hreidarsson's cross was successfully "finished" by S. Bartlett. And still, the hosts managed to save a point four minutes before the end of the match thanks to the young D. Graham.
