On Monday, the 25th round of the English Premier League came to an end.
At the London Olympic Stadium, West Ham hosted Liverpool players. The "Reds" who first broke through did not celebrate victory - the "Hammers" leveled the score and did a "favor" to the Manchester City team.
From the beginning of the match, West Ham showed fighting spirit and sharp play in the opponent's half. Liverpool had serious defensive problems in the first ten minutes, but a quick goal did not come in these matches.
Despite the active play of the hosts, the guests battling for the title from Liverpool were the first to break through - after James Milner's pass in the 22nd minute, Sadio Mane put the "Reds" ahead, although the episode caused a lot of controversy as J. Milner was clearly offside.
Even after conceding a goal, the West Ham team did not give up - just a few minutes later the scoreboard again showed an equal result. During a set-piece situation, Michail Antonio skillfully evaded the opponents and with a powerful shot on the ground defeated Alisson.
In the second half, Liverpool players appeared much more aggressive, but Fabianski, playing reliably, prevented danger to his goal.
No more goals were scored and Liverpool had to settle for another painful draw.
Liverpool remained without a victory for the second time in a row and their advantage over second-placed Man City melted to three points.
West Ham, currently in 12th place, have already taken points from Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd, and now Liverpool this season.
