The best player of the Premier League in March was Everton's sniper Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgian national team member demonstrated the best form and scored four times during this period, including a brace against Hull City.
Currently with 21 accurate shots, the striker is the most prolific in the whole championship.
"I am really happy, this gives me another push", - Lukaku told the official Everton website before the match with Liverpool.
"I think this year (about the derby - ed. note), we are preparing differently because, of course, we had matches with national teams, but we really don't talk about the match."
"At the moment we are in good shape, we know we have to be focused and control our emotions regardless of the fact that it is a derby."
"Finally, if you want to win, you have to maintain focus and secure three points in the end."
The other two candidates who lost to Lukaku in the election were Bournemouth's goalkeeper Artur Boruc and attacking midfielder Joshua King.
However, recognition was also received by the club's manager Eddie Howe. Bournemouth team added seven points to their tally in March after matches against Manchester United, West Ham, and Swansea City.
