“Barcelona” club president Josep Maria Bartomeu and all other board members submitted their resignation statements and will leave the club in the near future. At the beginning of November, a vote of no confidence in the president was scheduled to take place. J. M. Bartomeu has been in office since 2014, and recently his work has been closely monitored after the catastrophic defeat of the club in the UEFA Champions League against Bayern Munich. Last month, J. M. Bartomeu was accused of corruption, and although the leader denied everything, the Spanish police still started an investigation. Important duties will now be taken over by an interim board, and a new president should be elected by the club in the near future.”
