London's "Arsenal" team wants to conclude this week's search for a head coach.
The Spanish media reported that the 54-year-old Spanish coach Marcelino has caught the eye of the "gunners." He was dismissed from his coaching duties at "Valencia" at the beginning of this season. However, this was not due to poor results - simmering tensions with the club president had been brewing for some time.
ESPN claims that the coach has arrived in London and will officially discuss the terms of employment at "Arsenal" for the first time.
There are currently no guarantees that Marcelino will take over the reins at "Arsenal," but the club does not want to wait any longer. It is emphasized that another English club, Liverpool's "Everton," is also interested in Marcelino's services.
The Spanish media adds that Marcelino has been taking English language courses since 2017, but it is currently difficult to predict his true speaking level.
Marcelino has only worked in Spain so far - coaching teams such as "Villarreal," "Sevilla," and "Racing Santander."
