Egyptian Mido admitted that deciding to switch clubs was one of the biggest mistakes of his career.
The 24-year-old striker, initially loaned from "Roma" to an English team for 18 months, signed a long-term contract last summer and became a full member of the club.
However, this season he only started seven games due to injuries and competition, and scored 1 goal. The other three strikers competing for a place in the attack - Dimitar Berbatov, Robbie Keane, and Jermain Defoe - scored more than 60 goals together, so there was practically no room left for the fourth striker.
"I would be lying if I said I am happy at Tottenham. No footballer feels good not getting time on the field," said Mido.
"Signing a long-term contract was a huge mistake. I know it can cause me problems, but you can't escape reality."
Last summer, Mido tried to join Celta Vigo and in January, Manchester City, but both times the Egyptian decided to stay in London.
