Kylian Mbappe once again failed to win the UEFA Champions League trophy with the Paris Saint-Germain team.
On Tuesday, the French champions ended their journey in the tournament semifinals, losing to Borussia Dortmund players for the second time.
After the defeat, K. Mbappe took responsibility for PSG not scoring a goal in two semifinal matches.
"I tried to help the team as much as I could, but it wasn't enough. When we talk about efficiency in the penalty area, something is expected from me. I am the one who has to score goals and decide the matches."
"When everything is going well, we are in the spotlight, but sometimes you just have to step aside. That's just how it sometimes happens."
"I was the first one who had to score a goal in these matches. That's life, we have to move forward.
"I don't know if the opponents were really better, but I don't want to diminish their work. Borussia had a couple of chances and they took advantage of one, we had many more chances but we didn't capitalize on them."
"I don't want to say that we were unlucky. When you are good enough, the ball ends up in the net, not bouncing off the goal frame. We, attackers, didn't do the job properly," said K. Mbappe.
