As shown by an international study, this year's winner of the UEFA Champions League should earn more than 100 million euros (about 345 million litas) due to increasing sponsor financing, the number of television contracts, rising player prices, and ticket sales revenue.

According to a study conducted by the payment company "MasterCard," the winning club's city can also expect a significant influx of cash.

Liverpool received approximately 70 million euros in revenue when the city's team defeated the current rival club "Milan" in the 2005 final, while the city of the "Porto" club celebrating victory in 2004 received only 12 million euros.

"Experts have found that the winning club can enjoy an increased number of sponsors, television fees, match ticket revenues, and player prices - even if the prize of more than 100 million euros is less than what many European clubs have spent on players and their salaries in recent seasons," the statement said.

The research results from "KRC Research" were obtained by surveying twelve main European football and business experts, including economists, scientists, and football analysts.
