While all of football Europe is focused on the ongoing European Football Championship in Portugal, the finalists of this season's UEFA Champions League wasted no time and announced that they have signed a contract with the young Brazilian national team defender Maicon.
The 22-year-old footballer, who has already played for the Brazilian national team, signed a four-year contract with a French club.
It is believed that this footballer will replace Hugo Ibarra, who is leaving the club next season and returning to Monaco, which had loaned him from Portugal and the Champions League winners team.
Prior to moving to Europe, Maicon played for "Cruzeiro" in the most powerful Brazilian championship for three years, and debuted for the Brazilian national team a year ago, and will also be invited to the Copa America final stage next month in Peru.
