It is already clear that there will be no goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek and forward Robbie Fowler in the legendary English team. The Spanish strategist also revealed that the new challenge will also be to look for a veteran Bolo Zenden and Mark Gonzalez, who spent only a year in Liverpool.
"Almost everything is agreed with M. Gonzalez, and I told B. Zenden that he can negotiate with other clubs," confirmed R. Benitez. "We need to finish negotiations with our main candidates as quickly as possible, spending a lot of money quickly."
The specialist does not hide that his main goal is to reduce the distance between London and his team, and the new owners of Liverpool, George Gillett and Tom Hicks, agree with this vision.
"Fans know what we need to do, and we will do it. The owners gave a positive response to my plans. When you see that the champions Manchester United spend 20 million pounds on security and we, acquiring attackers, have 8-9 million at our disposal, you understand what needs to be changed.
