M. Arteta: "If we stay this close to the title more often, eventually we will win it © Reuters

Arsenal failed to end their Premier League title drought in London.

The Gunners defeated Everton in the final round at home, but Manchester City's victory against West Ham United secured the city side's fourth consecutive title.

After the final match, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta stated that his team should not settle for second place and promised that the title will ultimately be fought for.

“Now we need to rest and assess what we have achieved this season. Then hard work awaits us again.

We cannot be satisfied with this achievement. We want more and eventually we will achieve it.

If we are closer to the title more often, eventually we will win it. However, I cannot say exactly when we will do it,” said M. Arteta.
