Having become a free agent, defender Jlloyd Samuel has chosen his club. The footballer will sign a four-year contract with the team on July 1.
Born in Trinidad and Tobago but holding British citizenship, J. Samuel is a product of the "Aston Villa" football school, having played over 150 matches for the club. However, this year the 26-year-old footballer rarely made it to the starting lineup.
Speaking about the first player to supplement the team, the new "Bolton" coach Sammy Lee stated: "He is a versatile player who can compete in multiple positions, not just in defense."
J. Samuel himself spoke optimistically about his new club: "I have been with 'Aston Villa' for 10 years and during that time I truly became a part of the team. However, I feel that I need a change, and I hope that I will flourish at 'Bolton,' play more, and 'revive' my career."
