Panevėžys" presented a new coach

The football club "Panevėžys" has entrusted the team's helm to a specialist from Belgium - Stijn Vreven. An agreement has been reached with the 50-year-old strategist, which will be valid until the end of the 2025 season.

S. Vreven, before starting his coaching career, was a professional footballer and represented clubs in his native Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and Cyprus. The most matches the Belgian played were in the ranks of "Utrecht".

The new "Panevėžys" strategist started his coaching career in 2010 and worked in Belgium for about a decade - coaching the Nerpelto "Esperanza", "Dessel Sport", "Lommel", "Waasland-Beveren", Antwerp "Beerschot", "Lokeren", and "Oostende" teams.

Abroad, S. Vreven gained experience in the Netherlands and Slovakia and was in charge of the Breda NAC and "Trenčin" clubs, respectively.

On Tuesday, the "Panevėžys" strategist will participate in the first training session of the new club, and on Saturday, June 1, he will make his debut in official matches. The clash with FA "Šiauliai" will take place at the "Aukštaitija" stadium from 7:00 pm in the 16th round of the "TOPsport A Lyga".
