In the last season of the Championship, the team "Leeds United", which played quite successfully but did not achieve the ultimate goal of moving to the Premier League, has new co-owners.
"The Athletic" reports that a small portion of shares in the well-known team was bought by the giant "Red Bull".
The global company is already associated with five football clubs in Brazil, Germany, Austria, and the USA.
However, for now, there is no discussion about changing the team's name - from next season, "Red Bull" will only have the position of the main sponsor on players' jerseys.
The "Leeds" team is managed by the company linked to the NFL's "San Francisco 49ers", called "49ers Enterprises", which completed a £170 million club takeover deal last year.
