Manzano appointed as the new coach of "Malaga" © EuroFootball.com

Former Real Madrid coach Gregorio Manzano will coach another team next season. The coach signed a two-year contract with the club.

The position of the Malaga coach became available when Juan Ramos, who had previously trained the team, left after the end of the season, as his views on the team's planning for the next season did not align with the club's management.

Manzano also left the club of his own accord, but unlike Ramos, he was without a job for a very short time and immediately received a position with another La Liga team.

The 47-year-old strategist joined Atletico before this season, after winning the Spanish King's Cup (Copa del Ray) with the team. This season, the players under his leadership at Atletico finished in 7th place, while Malaga finished in 10th place. Therefore, Manzano's main goal for next season, as he himself claims, will be to achieve a higher position than this year.
