The coach of the German national team, Julian Nagelsmann, was outraged by a survey conducted by the country's broadcaster ARD.

The media asked their viewers if they would like to see more white players in the national team. A quarter of the respondents answered positively.

"I am shocked that such questions are being asked and, on top of that, there are answers to them.

This is racism and I think we need to wake up.

In the European Championship, we will represent all German people. Every footballer who can play at the highest level is invited to the national team and will give it their all.

I hope I will never have to read about such disgraceful surveys," said J. Nagelsmann.
