The concept of peaceful as a Belgian in football seems to no longer apply. It has been reported that after Saturday's Belgian Cup final match between "Club Bruges" and Liege's "Standard", massive clashes resulted in injuries to 50 fans and 10 police officers.

Fourteen "Bruges" fans were arrested after attempting to throw stones and other objects at the officers.

"Ten police officers were injured and taken to the hospital. Four of them have serious injuries, but I was informed that all of them are currently in good condition. They suffered bone fractures and neck injuries," said Belgian police representative Christian De Coninck.

Around 50 supporters also sustained injuries, with 35 receiving first aid on site. The rest were taken to hospitals.

The incident occurred after the match, which "Bruges" won 1-0, about an hour later.

According to C. De Coninck, on Tuesday, police and football federation leaders will begin investigating the incident.

Recently, both UEFA and representatives of the European Union have expressed concern over the difficult-to-control violence of fans during football matches. In February, a scandal broke out in Italy when a police officer was killed in clashes.
