London club's defender Aaron Lennon will not be able to help the England national team in friendly matches against Brazil and in the 2008 European Championship qualifying match against Estonia due to a strained knee.

The 20-year-old footballer suffered a knee injury in a Friday match against Albania's eleven while playing for England's reserve team and after further examinations, it was revealed that he will not be able to represent the national team in the upcoming matches.

Lennon's absence from the team allowed former national captain and current Real Madrid defender David Beckham to return to the team, who will wear the team's jersey in the friendly match against Brazil on Friday, June 1st at the new "Wembley" stadium in London.

After that, England will face Estonia in the 2008 European Championship qualifying matches, where on June 6th in Tallinn, Steve McClaren's trained English team will compete against Estonia.

A victory against Estonia is crucial for England not only to strengthen their chances of qualifying for the European Championships in Austria and Switzerland, but also to maintain coach S. McClaren's job.
