On Saturday, Lithuanians stood out in the 13th round of the Estonian championship matches, including Marius Dovydėnas. The 21-year-old former Lithuanian U-19 national team striker helped the "Maag Tammeka" club to crush "Kuressaare" 4-1, while defender M. Dovydėnas contributed with a goal to Tallinn's "Levadia" victory over the other Estonian capital team "Kalev" with a score of 4-2.
A graduate of the "Kaunas" youth school, who previously played for the "Šilutė" club before moving to Estonia, appeared on the field in the 51st minute of the match on Saturday, with the score tied at 1-1, and scored the third goal for "Maag Tammeka" in the 78th minute.
After this victory, the Tartu club rose to fifth place in the league table.
Interestingly, before the season, the head coach of the Estonian club had placed great hopes on the Lithuanian player and stated that he could become one of the most effective players in the Estonian championship. However, at the start of the season, the "Maag Tammeka" coach Sergėjus Ratnikovas said that the player, who seemed great before the season and during training, "looks worse now after signing the contract."
Meanwhile, two Lithuanians - defender Vitoldas Čepauskas and midfielder Marius Dovydėnas - played for Tallinn's "Levadia" on Saturday. The latter played until the 62nd minute, but by the end of the first half, he had increased "Levadia's" lead to 3-1.
Another Lithuanian player appeared on Estonian stadiums on Saturday: a defender played the entire match for Talinn's TVMK.
Lithuanian representative Tomas Sirevičius, who plays for Tallinn's "Flora," was not registered for the match against Viljandi's "Tulevik."
