38th round: "Chievo" relegated from "Serie A" © EuroFootball.com

On Sunday, the final round of matches were played in Italy. It was revealed that next year, the "Chievo" club will not play in the league, as they were surpassed in the tournament table by four other clubs who managed to secure victories and thus maintain their spot in the top league.

The "Chievo" team lost to the "Catania" club with a score of 0-2. The relegation of the Verona club to a lower division was also influenced by other unfavorable results for the team.

Among all the clubs fighting for survival, the "Siena" team, which was at the bottom before this round, defeated the "Lazio" team at home 2-1. Until the 85th minute, the match was tied, which would have meant "Siena" playing in "Serie B" next year. However, a winning goal by former "Lazio" player Paolo Negro saved his team from relegation.

The "Reggina" team, with the same number of points, defeated the Champions League winner "AC Milan" at home with a score of 2-0. Meanwhile, "Parma" convincingly beat the surprise team of the season "Empoli" 3-1 at home, securing their spot in next year's "Serie A" championship.
