The President of the Sevilla Spanish club, Manuel Ruiz de Lopera, announced that the club's star Joaquin will only be sold for no less than 25 million euros (86 million litas).
This was the club president's reaction to increased interest from Madrid, London, and Glasgow.
Lopera also added to the new team coach Lorenzo Serra Ferrer that this does not mean that the 22-year-old Spaniard will continue to stay in the club.
Meanwhile, "Real" stated that they will wait until the 2005-2006 season before trying to buy the promising Spaniard, and "Chelsea" lost interest after Jose Mourinho became the new club coach.
