The French national team entered the quarterfinals of the European Football Championship on Monday.

In the quarterfinal match, the French defeated the Belgians with a minimal score of 1:0.

The first half started very quietly and only towards the end did the French attempt a few more dangerous shots.

Both teams had opportunities in the second half of the match, but the goal had to be waited until the 85th minute.

The unfortunate player in the match was Jan Vertonghen, who played his last game in the lineup of the Belgian national team. It was precisely from this defender that the ball, deflected after a shot by Randal Kolo Muani, found its way into the goal.

The Belgians tried to save the game, but the final whistle of the referee confirmed France's minimal victory.
