The Turkish national team has reached the quarter-finals of the European Championship.

In the last match of the EURO 2024 round of 16, Vincenzo Montella's team defeated Austria 2-1.

The Turks started the match fantastically - M. Demiral scored a goal already in the first minute after a penalty in the box (1-0).

After the blow, the Austrians tried to equalize the result, but their opponents defended successfully.

In the 60th minute, M. Demiral successfully took advantage of another corner kick and scored the second goal with a header (2-0).

The fighting Austrians managed to reduce the gap - this was done by M. Gregoritsch in the 66th minute (2-1).

The triumphant Turks will face the Netherlands in the quarter-finals.
