During the recent European Football Championship C group matches, the Danish national team surprisingly played a draw with one of the tournament favorites, the Italian team.

Italy - Denmark 0 - 0

The Danes started the game more actively and created a good attack in the early minutes, but the striker missed the ball that bounced awkwardly. In the 13th minute, the Italians threatened the opponents' goal. After Totti's long-range shot, the Danish goalkeeper Sorensen saved them from conceding. The end of the first half was very interesting. During dangerous Italian attacks, the Danish goalkeeper pushed Del Piero's shot back into the goal. Soon after, Totti took a shot, but once again, Sorensen fantastically saved the shot. Resisting against Italy's attacks, Denmark quickly counterattacked, but this time Jorgensen's shot was saved by Italian goalkeeper Buffon.

In the second half, both teams had good chances, but neither team managed to score. In the 53rd minute, Totti found Zambrotta on the left side, but his shot missed the target. Four minutes later, Vieri headed the ball, but once again Sorensen made a great save. In the 76th minute, Buffon saved Tomasson's attempt, the ball bounced to Rommedahl, but he couldn't outsmart the goalkeeper from the side. Thus, the match ended in a draw, and both teams shared a point.
