After the second consecutive defeat in the match, "Žalgiris" coach Vladimiras Čeburinas said that the result was determined by missed opportunities.
The residents of Vilnius had territorial advantage in the duel against "Kauno Žalgiris", but they kept faltering in the final phase of the attack and failed to score a goal.
"We had chances, but the opponent defended well. They didn't have as many opportunities. But they utilized one," V. Čeburinas observed.
Asked if the second consecutive loss before the start of the UEFA Conference League affected the mood, the coach replied:
"Losing two matches in a row in the league standings is disappointing. But Europe is Europe, a different tournament. And in these games we were already thinking about the next ones. We didn't put a big emphasis on that. But we were preparing. Now it's important to focus on the players' psychological state. The most important thing is that what we planned is implemented."
