Intrigue returns to the league: "Banga" beats "Hegelmann" and challenges "Žalgiris

In the postponed matches of the 18th round of the "TOPsport A lyga", Gargždai "Banga" and Kaunas district "Hegelmann" teams stood out with their effectiveness. Playing as guests, the blue and white team achieved victory with a score of 4:2 (1:0).

The hosts created a threatening opportunity, but defended against Pijus Srėbaliauskas's attack by Arijus Bražinskas. The goalkeeper also saved the team at the end of the first half after a long shot from Cesinha.

In the 42nd minute, the Kaunas district club surged ahead when Artemas Ščedras entered the penalty area. Just at the beginning of the second half, in the 50th minute, the Ukrainian player once again skillfully outplayed Mantas Bertašius.

The active "Banga" team did not give up - in the 73rd minute, Robertas Vėževičius scored thanks to a well-placed ball into the goal. However, a few minutes later, taking advantage of the opponents' insecure defense, Michael Thuique was also successful.

In the 80th minute, during a prolonged set-piece situation, Maksimas Andrejevas, who appeared in the field after a substitution, scored for "Banga". Nevertheless, 3 minutes later, Leo Ribeiro's pass was converted into a goal by M. Thuique.

With 42 points, Andrius Skerla's army feels very confident in 2nd place, while "Banga" has 27 points and is in 8th place.
