On Thursday, "Žalgiris" is facing its first test against the Cypriot Cup winners "Pafos" FC – the first match of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League will take place in Vilnius at the LFF Stadium.

Before the match, "Žalgiris" coach Vladimir Čeburinas and team captain Ovidijus Verbickas hoped that the home ground would help them achieve a positive result.

"It's the second stage, the first match. We arrived at this point by different paths. It's a tough opponent, but the mood is good," said the coach.

"It's great that we managed to take the first step towards our goal. Of course, the team understands that we have a tough match ahead tomorrow. We are ready for that. We know what we need to do. If we give a hundred percent and even more on the field, I believe we will achieve a positive result," stated O. Verbickas.

The match between "Žalgiris" and "Pafos" will take place on Thursday at 7 PM at the LFF Stadium.
