G. Scamacca suffered a serious injury

The news about the accident that happened to Gianluca Scamacca, the forward of Atalanta, has shaken Italian football.

In a friendly match against Parma, the 25-year-old 195 cm tall player of the Italian national team sustained a serious injury.

At the start of the second half, G. Scamacca unsuccessfully tried to control the ball and, falling onto the grass, injured his leg. Subsequent tests confirmed the worst prognosis – a torn knee ligament and meniscus damage.

The player will undergo surgery, and according to the press, he will be able to return to the field no sooner than in 5-6 months.

In the last Italian championship, the forward scored 12 goals and provided 6 assists in 29 matches.
