Next season, the Conference League could see a troop of Lithuanians. Aside from Lithuanian champions "Panevėžys", there may be as many as six Lithuanian clubs in Europe next season.
Armando Kučio's "Celje" and Edgaras Utkaus's Bruges "Cercle" have been eliminated from the qualifying round of the Conference League. The champions of Slovenia will compete against Armenia's "Pyunik" in the Conference League qualifiers.
Meanwhile, E. Utkaus is looking at an interesting month. He is being linked with Serie A teams, but the truth is that he has also sustained an injury, so it will be interesting to see how his career unfolds during the remaining transfer window. At the same time, the defender's team faces a very manageable opponent in the qualifiers – the miracle-making team of the second division in Poland, "Wisla Krakow".
Justas Lasickas's "Olimpija" will conclude their qualifiers with a series against "Rijeka". Another Slovenian team, "Maribor", represented by Pijus Širvys, is up against "Djurgarden". "Maribor" dramatically defeated the "Vojvodina" club in the third round after a series of penalties.
Valdas Dambrauskas's "Omonia" faces a manageable match against Azerbaijan's "Zira".
The starting lineup player for "Astana", Kipras Kažukolovas, along with his team, will attempt to overcome the Norwegian "Brann" barrier.
Let's remember, "Panevėžys" will compete against Welsh champions "The New Saints". The first match will take place in Vilnius.
