"Aston Villa" started successfully in the new Premier League season.

On Saturday night, Unai Emery's team defeated the home side "West Ham United" 2:1.

In the 4th minute, "Villa" took the lead after a goal from Amadou Onana. He scored from a corner.

Just before the end of the first half, Matty Cash carelessly fouled Tomas Soucek in the penalty area, and Lucas Paqueta converted the penalty with cold nerves.

In the second half, "Villa" secured the victory with a precise shot from Jhon Durán. He had been linked with a move to "West Ham United" for a large part of the summer.
