The London "Chelsea" team failed to kill two birds with one shot.

As journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports, the "Blues" attempted to make a player swap with the Turin "Juventus" team.

It is reported that Premier League representatives tried to send them an unnecessary winger, Raheem Sterling, to Italy and receive forward Federico Chiesa in return.

The deal, which could have been very loud, fell apart for one reason – the Serie A team was unable to pay the Englishman’s desired salary.

Last season, R. Sterling earned about £325,000 per week.
