The 38-year-old goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has retired from the German national team.
The legendary goalkeeper has decided to focus solely on club football.
He will be replaced in the "Die Mannschaft" by Marc-André ter Stegen. The 32-year-old goalkeeper from "Barcelona" has been waiting a long time to become the main goalkeeper for his national team.
M. Neuer still has one season left on his contract with Bayern Munich.
In 2014, he won the World Cup gold with the Germans, and he has played a total of 124 matches for the national team.
