Banga" approaches Europe: at home, they crushed "Šiauliai

"TOPsport A lygoje” saw the end of a nearly three-season streak – Gargždų "Banga” defeated FA "Šiauliai” for the first time, on their twelfth attempt. In the 28th round match at home, the players from Gargždai won decisively, with a score of 4:1 (3:1).

The match started very actively, with both teams exchanging chances. In the 11th minute, Maksimas Andrejevas broke towards the goal and found Valdas Paulauskas, who directed the ball towards the net from about 16 meters. Soon after, the guests could have equalized, but Valdas Antužis cleared the ball that was flying towards the empty net.

V. Paulauskas threatened on several dangerous counterattacks, however, in the 24th minute "Banga” executed another successful attack – Cesinha scored. The representatives of the Sun City narrowed the gap ten minutes later when Deividas Šešplaukas found the net after a pass from Davidas Ikauniekas.

Nevertheless, V. Paulauskas continued his show. In the 40th minute, the player from Palanga wonderfully handled a long pass and scored a beautiful goal.

In the second half, "Banga” controlled the situation and increased their lead even further. In the 75th minute, Robertas Vėževičius, who appeared on the field after a substitution, scored with a precise low shot.
