US women's soccer legend retires to well-deserved rest

US football legend Alex Morgan is retiring from professional football.

The 35-year-old American will play her final match on Sunday and say goodbye to her fans.

During her impressive career, A. Morgan became a two-time world champion and triumphed once in the Olympic football tournament. She scored a total of 123 goals for the US national team.

"I'm hanging up my boots; my heart and soul have felt this decision since the beginning of the year," wrote the San Diego Wave player, who is currently expecting her second child.
