In October, the European Commission's decision regarding the construction of the Vilnius National Stadium may be revealed.

As Arvydas Avulis, the chairman of the board of "Hanner,” told the portal "Delfi,” the decision of this institution will determine whether the work that has been started for many years will continue.

"It’s time to complete that project. 37 years is an embarrassing timeframe for a project,” said the director.

According to him, if everything goes according to plan, the new arena will be ready to welcome visitors by mid-2027.
