J. Mourinho: I refused to coach the England national team twice

Jose Mourinho, the coach of the Istanbul team "Fenerbahçe," has won a total of 26 trophies during his career, including two UEFA Champions League titles.

As he told the portal "HT Spor," for one reason or another, his path could have taken a completely different direction, and the number of victories could have been different.

"In the past, I received invitations to try my hand in national team football, but I always said ‘no.’

The English FA invited me twice, but I was unyielding.

It’s not the kind of job that would make me happy. One or two matches a month, traveling to observe players, waiting for tournaments... I have a lot of energy now, and maybe one day, when I get older and tired, but certainly not now,” J. Mourinho stated.
