E. Maresca: "Club leaders did not mention that we need to be in the TOP 4"

The head coach of London’s Chelsea club, Enzo Maresca, stated that Ben Chilwell could soon appear on the field, Jadon Sancho, and the goals of the management this season:

"Jadon Sancho is working fantastically well.

He already showcased what we expected from him in his debut match. Not just over 45 minutes, but every day, how excellently he is working... It’s ideal.

I hope he continues not to stop.”

"Since I met with the club management and owners, they have never hinted that we need to be among the top 4 clubs in England this season.

We have a very good squad, but I also said that last season we finished in 12th place, and the season before that in 6th. Improvement is not an automatic thing. We need to progress as well.”

"Ben Chilwell was one of those guys who was ready to leave the team, but he is here and training with us.

He is working excellently and is a Chelsea player.

We will consider match by match when this full-back can appear on the field.”
