„TOPsport A lyga“ leader Vilnius „Žalgiris“ celebrated yet another victory in the postponed match and got closer to the title. The Vilnius team won against Alytus DFK „Dainava“ at the LFF stadium 3:1 (2:1), marking the third defeat for the visitors.

The Dainava players focused heavily on defense, but conceded the first goal after the opponents earned a corner. Joel Bopesu provided his 11th assist, and Jurijus Kendyšas scored with a precise header.

The guests responded with a couple of fairly harmless shots, but in the 27th minute, balance was restored. After Artiomas Baftalovskis’ pass, Davoras Rakičius scored his third goal in the last four matches. However, in the first minute of stoppage time, Paulius Golubickas sent the ball into the net of his former team from close range.

After the break, the guests only distinguished themselves with a more threatening attack from Ode Abdullahi while focusing heavily on defense. Nonetheless, in the 69th minute, after a pass from the right flank, N. Petkovičius added a goal to his assist.

During the last attack, the Žalgiris players could have scored another goal, but J. Bopesu's kicked ball hit the crossbar.
